Questions about Growing Salvia
SWIM wants to grow salvia but SWIM has a few questions...
1 - Is Salvia like marijuana(female or male plants?) 2- Do the seeds need to be under lights all the time? 3- Can it be watered and left in semi bright, but semi dark conditions outside for a week? (If it is growing outside SWIM may only be able to attend to it once a week) |

Re: Questions about Growing Salvia
SWIM thinks you would be best doing some research first, it's very different from marijuana... it can be grown indoors like any other plant. Seeds are rare, cuttings usually are bought (clones) from a mother plant. Look it up

Re: Questions about Growing Salvia
Seeds aren't just rare, they are nearly non-existant. Even if a plant producedseeds, the chances of them being viable are even lower.
Things you'll want to know: Soil compesition watering schedual fertilizing hours of light vegetative propagation techniques All these can be found with a simple use of the search engine, shit I can do that for you, cause I'm that sort of guy' Oh hell no! There's a bloody sticky at the top of this forum titled "Salvia Cultivation" with some 119 posts in it. You can start there and come back when you've got more specific questions. |

OP: Being that it's a pain to buy this plant and not a terribly strong plant on it's own, you should probably get some grow lights, good soil, and stick to a specific watering schedule-I've found that daily or every other day is very good but be extremely careful to not overwater. If the plants are relatively dry by the day after watering, then water again, if they are still pretty wet, water every other day. If they are still wet by day 3, use less water. This is my general rule of thumb and my plants seem happy and are growing well. Remember, s. Divinorum is native to a hot area of the world and needs plenty of sun light. And is posting a thread truly easier than looking stuff up for yourself? Seriously? |
