anti depressants, first time, need help

my closest friend last august found out her mom was going to die in 5 months of melanoma. she was not handling or excepting this well.

went to her GP and was prescribed 60mg cymbalta and not sure how much of Olazapine.

she has never ever been on anti depressants, she is 38 yrs old.

they seemed to work for 2 months now she has been on them for 6 and doesn't get off the couch or barely shower. avoiding everyone cries all the time.

i did some research and found cymbalta is the worst to ween off of.

does anyone have any suggestions on if she should switch kinds of medication then ween of the new one or ween off the cymbalta?

please help worried very much!
