Got to unplesant stage - must stop!
The post below was written by my pet iguana who didn't read the rules properly regarding self-incrimination, I do apologies on his behalf and would like to make it perfectly clear that I had no idea the little bastard was up to naughty things:
2.5 month ago i've decided to experiment with GHB. Mainly for the "high" and I wanted to cut on alcohol which I felt started to be a problem even I'm not a heavy abuser, but still as a result of alcohol I stated having depressions and difficulties falling a sleep or waking up. Well, GHB worked exellent, too good to be true... However at this point of GHB use ( approximately 1.5 tea spoon - now 2 teaspoons for the same effect 3 times per week ) I got to the stage where I'm not able to wake up in the mornings. During the day time I feel GHB in me and as soon as I'm slowing down my head feels heavy. It is exactly the same feeling as you'd get from sleep aid melatonin which I tried in legal dosage. But in my case the feeling doesn't go away. It is been going on for 2 weeks now and I feel it is escalating. My friend suggested that I wasn't shaking the bottle before use and heavier chemical components were floating at the botom of the bottle which now causing the change of experience but I don't want to find any excuses and regardless - I finished experimenting with GHB. It did it job for me. I believe that by taking it I rehabilitated my self from alcohol and other issues I associated with that. But I'm worried now I just got in relationship with another demon... My question is - due to the information I provided, is my physical state a sign of addiction to GHB? Did all this time I overdosed my self with it? ( I'm 6'1" 180 pounds ) Can I just stop taking it or should I decrease dosage and slowly stop? If yes, what would be suggested schedule for that. PS. My preference is to stop it immediately I just don't want to harm my self. I would really appreciate serious and mature response. Thank you Last edited by MrG; 17-03-2009 at 14:03. Reason: S.I. |

Re: Got to unplesant stage - must stop!
Use swim.
GHB addiction is maintained by repeatedly dosing one's self 24/7 at least every 3 hours. The withdrawal effects onset immediately after the first dose wears off. You said you were only dosing 3x a week. If that is true then you do not and will never have G withdrawals. You could stop right now forever. Your symptoms sound like they do not fit either. What is the concentration of your GHB? Do you know how much in weight you were taking per dose? |

Re: Got to unplesant stage - must stop!
Swim was told by someone that GHB he has is 1mg or 1.3mg per 1 tea spoon. But he will look into it again.
I understand that 2mg - to 3 mg is considered as a mild overdose, also it is the amount that has an euphoric effects. Swim tried once 3 teaspoons = approx 3.5 mg and didn't feel that great. So I would assume Swim was steady going at maximum of 3 mg dosage broken into 2 times with in 40 minutes difference - 3 times per week. This should be more or less accurate. |

Are you talking about gbl or ghb? 1mg of ghb won't do anything at all. You must mean 1 gram.

That is a very reasonable dose, no idea as to why you're having problems. Stop if you want to.

I would suggest you ask your pet iguana to read this thread on GHB and Sleep
Using three times a week is not likely to be causing problems but having one's sleep cycle interrupted by the wrong type of dosing is. BTW it is g's not mg's |

![]() Thank you for this post. It is obvious now that my friend swim tried to kill two rabbits in one shot and for 2 month straight didn't have proper sleep pattern. He does remember sometimes waking up in the middle of the night totally refreshed and felt fully awake. Swim now stopped taking GHB and will post his progress in a couple weeks to inform others who experienced same sleeping issues or tried to reduce use of alcohol by using GHB. |

swim recognizes the 'heavy head' sympthom. He gets that if he doses more than twice a week. Its probably down to individual brain chemistry as most people don't seem to get this!

Re: Got to unplesant stage - must stop!
Yeah...boy. If you only use 3X a week consider yourself lucky! Once upon a time It took my monkeys uncle 3-3.5 ml to get started and then 2-3 ml ever couple hours to basically stay up all night and stare at the computer.
He never used during the day but consumed on the average 20-30 ml after work. (About 10 hrs time.) One day, he woke up...had a nice dose, kept a nice dose and poured the rest for the fishes. And he was okay with it. You gotta' be at that place tho'. Sleep can be difficult for about three days...but it's really not that bad. |
