SWIM wouldn't be as optimistic as Ron Paul on this one, seriously, the conversation is almost like a textbook dialogue between a prohibitionist and an antiprohibitionist (for lack of a better word lol). It's like whatever one says, the other has a counterstatement for it... ridiculous and it looks like Mr. Baldwin had the correct counters to everything memorized lol.
It's a tug of war between two unyielding forces. I do hope that Ron Paul lives to see the day though...

Re: Ron Paul debates Stephen Baldwin on Legalizing Marijuana on CNN Larry King 03/13/

yehh...Ron was a little bit interruptive in his debate while the other guy was just plain wrong - for instance stating that it is a 'fact' that marijuana use leads to other drug use. Ron Paul may be right, but he's a little bit rude when it comes to hearing what the other person has to say.

Stephen Baldwin's arguments were honestly pathetic tho I'd say he lost the debate.

Re: Ron Paul debates Stephen Baldwin on Legalizing Marijuana on CNN Larry King 03/13/

I wanted this guy to get nominated by the GOP in the '08 election, but Republicans are just as fucked-up as Democrats when it comes to serving the people.

The "War On Drugs" is a perfect example of government policy that is "of the Government, by the Government, and for the Government," ... so that self-serving bureaucracy shall not perish from the Earth.

Abe Lincoln is the one responsible for expanding federal authority. He just got some of the words wrong at the end of his Gettysburg Address.

Of course, we can ALL see that, now.

Ron just happens to have more to say than Baldwin.

Baldwin just seemed to have no real opinion...

Re: Ron Paul debates Stephen Baldwin on Legalizing Marijuana on CNN Larry King 03/13/

Also Ron Paul is wrong about one thing, he says that people never get arrested for driving high on marijuana. This is not true. Just the other day a football player at Florida State University got kicked off the team and charged with DUI after passing out in a Mcdonalds drive through while his car was in drive. He was high on marijuana. It does happen and while I don't think the penalties for DUI should be so harsh as they are, he endangered the lives of others.

DUIs are when the line between making choices for YOU and OTHERS starts to blur, making them bad things to be doing.

Re: Ron Paul debates Stephen Baldwin on Legalizing Marijuana on CNN Larry King 03/13/

well, i can not imagine anyone wanting to drive 150 km/h when they are high on marijuana... but i know a LOT of drivers who ONLY drive as fast and faster when they are drunk

besides that, we need way more debates like that to TV so people can start to think and investigate

As always, Paul is spot on the money.

Its such a shame the media refused to give unbiased reporting on him and give as much coverage as the other contendors.

Re: Ron Paul debates Stephen Baldwin on Legalizing Marijuana on CNN Larry King 03/13/

Don't get me wrong, I like Ron Paul. This debate was pretty lousy though. Ron Paul didn't directly answer questions and I just find that annoying. It wasn't a debate so much as two guys taking turns quoting their practiced statements with both completely ignoring the origional questions.

In any case, I don't think prohibition can last forever. Like someone once said, the times they are a changing.
