Re: Different gases?

YES. Auto grade nitrous contains stenching agents, to stop SWIY inhaling it

SWIY cannot inhale it without expecting serious lung damage as an acidic gas (sulfur dioxide and potentially others) is mixed with the nitrous oxide. This can be filtered out and there are threads on this but it’s still risky.

Peace

Re: Different gases?

Right on, the industrial grade stuff is usually supposed to have sulfur dioxide added to prevent abuse. However swim has heard/thought that if the cylinder is filled at a location that sells/fills a lot of cylinders such as nitrogen/oxygen/argon/acetylene and maybe also sells medical grade nitrous for dentists etc., that they might not necessarily have the stenched 'auto' grade nitrous, and maybe would fill your cylinder with the medical grade instead?
