N2O Scrubber
Does SWIY or anyone's friends here know what steps are required to "scrub" N2O fumes created by NH4NO3 so they are clean enough for non-toxic human or gator use?
I believe 4 washes are required.... passing the N2O fumes through various acids and substrates to detoxify\purify out the NOx and other decomposition products. ![]() frogy added 11 Minutes and 23 Seconds later... SWIM believes he found the answer. Heat NH4NO3 to 250°C Does SWIM mix the NH4NO3 with SiO2? in what ratio? Scrub through water, NaOH, then H2SO4 in that order... What is the molarity\%% of the NaOH and H2SO4. Is the NaOH a solution? Last edited by frogy; 15-03-2009 at 22:17. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
