Addiction - 1,4 BDO - 24/7 Quit - Advise

Well SWIM started out last year and was responsible with the BDO. Now he's got out of control and has been doing the BDO which I call "Dirty step-sister" 24/7 for 3 months. Swim does anywhere from 8ml to 18ml per day. He's hell bent on quiting and never looking back at this dirty crap. He's done a bit of reading and understands he could have a bad withdrawals. So far the last does was 18 hours ago and swim took a 2mg xanax at 16 hours due to nerviousness. Feel nice and relaxed now. Swim also take Topmax which is a Dopamine washer daily by prescription.

Question? How long does he need to go without BDO in my system before it is safe for him to dump all the dirty step-sister down the drain (He is only saving for titerate if needed). He is hoping only 3 days to a week so the benzo drop will be super easy since he knows how to do that with sucess. Any help appreaciated?

***He also has Klonopin and Librium for withdrawals*** No Benzos taken in months so the one he took today was very effective
