Does anyone out there have any effective and easy ways to clean resin and shit out of a tree perc? Swim hasnt tried yet, but he isnt sure how he will do it in the future. Thanks for any ideas.

Once resin builds up in a tree percolator, it might be nearly impossible to clean it without high pressure steam or highly selective/volatile solvents.
It might sound crazy, but I think the best way to keep a tree percolator clean (which, if it is a truly nice piece of glass, is essential for the aspiring cannasseur) is to do a simple solvent wash after each smoking session. Not necessarily after every bowl, but at the end of the day if it has been used for more than one bowl, run some 91+% isopropyl alcohol (certainly the most easily available), hexane, or some other non-polar solvent through the percolator a few times, if any chunks or spots have appeared, add a little epsom salt to your solvent and rinse once with that, once with a salt-free solvent, and once more with water or pressurized gas (CO2 works well here). If a basic wash like that is done after every moderate-heavy smoke session, that tree percolator swiy invested their hard-earned money in will stay nice and clean, clear and tasteless.
