please someone help me

My name is uhhh lets just call me drew. I have a bad opiate addiction problem and need help. This addiction has been taking over my life for about 4 or 5 years. I need outpatient care so I can get suboxone to get off the devil drug(oxycontin). Im at about 80 mg a day and that is just putting me at normal. 160 is when im trying to get high. Im sick of spending all my money on it and ready to get on the suboxone program.My buddy is on it and he doesnt spend a doller on opiates and also is doing very well. I actually Tried suboxone out and was very very satisfying..I hope someone can help me with this. there arent many Sub doctors around here in Panama City FL. I need some advice from someone that has been in a similar situation I was perscribed Temazepam for sleep but if it will help me get away from it I am willing.

Swim here was just recently in the same situation.7yrs on oxy between 110mg to 220 -300mg a day.Swim went cold turkey 10 weeks ago.The first 4-5 days worst then slowly or very slowly gets better.Swim could have done the sub treatment but thought it would be trading addictions.Swiy should read some of the withdrawal stories on DF ie;Patient X oxycodone withdrawal,Descent into Oblivion also The how to guide to opiate detox.One thing for sure is swiy must be determined to get off the opiates.Gonna take will power ,theres a lot of mental shit.The mindfucking is the hardest part.Things will be much clearer w/o the devil.Good luck,fight hard.o

arent there any detox's over there? im in orlando and we have loads of them they'll put you in inpatient and do a sub detox in like 4 days they dont really give you enough but its cheap and a relatively comfortable way to detox
i came off of 48 mg's of dilaudid daily that way

and idk the situation over in your neck of the woods but here there are plenty of "feel good dr's" if you dont like the whole detox facility idea who give out sub like its candy

if you go to suboxone.com, they will have doctors available in your area that will be able to dispense Suboxone. It will list the doctors and you can go from there

If you plan to go the Bupe route insist on a rapid taper(no more than 2 weeks).My friend knows people that were in your EXACT position that have been on bupe maintenance for years.

With an addiction of 80-160 mgs a day a cold turkey could do the trick also.There is plenty of information on this site to at least make it bearable.My friend Dave came off 400-600mgs per day with a side of heroin,vicodin,soma,and klonopin.He stopped c/t with the exception of klono for sleep and the occaisional soma.He realizes that some people can't miss work,so this might not be feasable,but whatever swim choses make it quick.

One thing to remember you can break your phsyical slavery to junk,but Dave thinks the mental aspect is possibly harder.Try to plan on talking to someone about this shit,cause it doesn't just go away.
