Effects - Potentiating DXM with Grapefruit juice

Has anyone done the G.F. Juice thing with DXM and noticed any increase
in effects? SWIM's curious to try it, but hates the taste of grape fruit
so if it doesn't seem to work for most people he'd rather not waste his
time...

It is indeed tried, trusted, and true in my books.

In general SWIM finds it makes the DXM come on after a longer time, and it takes much longer to peak, and the trip is longer. So pretty much it just elongates the entire thing. It also makes it considerably stronger. If one really dislikes the taste of grapefruit juice though, one may want to think twice.

To be more specific it blocks the enzyme in the liver that matobolizes DXM. Be careful though, it is also the same enzyme that caffeine goes through.

A slip of paper a stranger on the street gave me:

"I have tried drinking a mix of 100% juice citrus fruit drinks
Drank .5 liters before and throughout trip
Had a harder time not being fucked up, but changes arent drastic
however they do seem more pleasant and a tad bit stronger, like adding 50-100 mg or even less

My dog has done it once and he knows it did help... How much I'm not sure but doggie's sure it did - he has lots of DXM experience. He hasn't done it since because of the taste of the juice... He already has to drink syrup and adding juice that tastes that bad doesn't sound fun most the time.

How do gapefruit juice make your dxm trip stronger? If gapefruit juice do make your trip stronger. Would grapefruit powdered extract do the same?

Swim is wondering.. does grapefruit juice potentation:

1. Make the effects more intoxicating?
2. Heighten the high for as if you had really taken more(reaching higher into high plateaus)?

Grapefruit juice has several chemicals that inhibit or prevent the bio destruction or metabolism of DXM and other drugs. Therefore, it will potentiate the high and increase/prolong DXM's effects.

It will therefore increase potential toxicity and the corresponding high.

Good question. But there's TONS of information already on the forums. Do a search for grapefruit juice. It's consistently a hot topic in the opiates section (DXM is a hallucinogenic opiate).
