Re: Best brain drug for exam?
For swim it would stand between modafinil or amph (base), but seeing as base can get someone all sweaty and tics-ish, modafinil dont make someone as sweaty in the same way. But modafinil takes a bit longer to work. For swim it took somewhere between 1 and 2 hours for it to kick in, but when it did, swim could concentrate on his math assignments like never before.
NotImportant added 1 Minutes and 53 Seconds later... An idea would maybe, if swiy needed to study the night before the exam, swiy could do some amph to study at night, and then pop a modafinil two hours before the exam starts. Re: Best brain drug for exam?
I would say Methylphenidate is safer than amph sulphate with less comedown, but speed has the benefit of being stronger per milligram and faster-acting.... If you want to use amphetamine it is safer to get Dexedrine than adderall, being 100% "right" (dextro) isomer of the Amphetamine molecule it has far less side effects on brain/body but all the neurological benefits are still there.... The best choice of all is probably pharmaceutical meth (desoxyn) but i know thats nigh on impossible to get.

Re: Best brain drug for exam?
Hi, this is my first post, i don't speak very well in english
![]() I've read in a pharmacology book, that researches about amphetamines for students says that students under this effects get more reliance about what they know, but they don't really know it well, then they fail more in exams It also says that they find harder to make math problems (Not really this, but i don't know how to say) |

Re: Best brain drug for exam?
SWIM's tame seagull had a go with 200mg Modafinil and 800mg Piracetam. Piracetam cuts in fairly quickly and seems to make everything work a little better (like very effective gingko biloba). Modafinil seems to act like a selective stimulant and keeps the whole experience very aware and peacefully awake. Neither is fabulously dramatic but the combination feels like a good mix to keep the day moving on and get things done. So a wakeful day flying around the ships and catching fish. In another nootropic thread there are a few concerns about modafinil perhaps because it has some agonist effect on histamine receptors. This might be a one off but woth bearing in mind.

Re: Best brain drug for exam?
adderall, hands down.
dexedrine is prolly better for regular use as it has a few less annoying side effects (tho it has its own) adderall works faster, better, and lasts longer than dexedrine, the levoamphetamine component (which makes up about 25% of the drug, the other 75% is dextramphetamine "dexedrine") helps put you "in the zone" a bit more than just straight dextroamphetamine. adderall starts working in about 15-30 minutes, while dex takes over an hour. plus you get a little euphoric kick from adderall at dosages used for studying that u can't really notice from dex. with occasional use you probably won't really notice the heart palpitations irritability etc... those generally come from longer-term usage... just like every thing it starts off with little to no downside, then over time you start to notice and become very bothered by the little side effects. ritalin and focalin are fine (focalin is MUCH better than ritalin, a lot smoother less jittery anxious etc) but it's a lot easier to get distracted on them and they don't last all that long, so they're fine for 3 hours or so but after that you're SPENT. the big thing is don't take too much, start with a really low dosage... if you take too much you'll just be all jacked up and unable to get ANYTHING done but cleaning. onzero added 17 Minutes and 35 Seconds later... it is a lot "softer" and has fewer side effects despite being technically stronger mg for mg. they really only prescribe it if you can't stand the sides from any of the other drugs, and it's ridiculously expensive like $300+/month. also it's a little different than street meth, street meth is racemic methamphetamine while desoxyn is just the dextromethamphetamine isomer, so it doesn't have as much "kick" and often makes the user feel sleepy and/or unmotivated. Re: Best brain drug for exam?
I am very sure I read an article where they have basically showed nicotine, caffeine and sugar slightly raise your IQ, for the short term. I'm sorry I don't have a link, so my post is not well researched, but I have had positive results using that combo in pill form (since I don't smoke)
