Prescription Renewal

SWIM was prescribed promethazine w/codeine for a bad sore throat. He is taking it as needed but was curious as to find out if he could renew his prescription once he runs out. On the prescription it says "Future Scripts". SWIM is lead to believe that, in the "future", he will be able to refill the prescription. SWIM will most likely call his pharmacy to get a definite answer, but wanted to get SWIY's opinion first. Thanks!
