Extraction - Calamus Root Extract Question

SWIM has done an ethanol and h2o extract on roughly one oz of dried calamus root. He ended up with a small amount of well dried flake and also a large glob of dried but malleable junk.

SWIM is wondering what can be done to further extract the asarone and beta-asarone from this calamus extract. Does anyone know of an A/B process or something easier perhaps? SWIM was thinking a STB then naptha pull.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

SWIM has figured out that the essential oil is what is mainly comprised of asarone, and since SWIM has the extract, that is what he is stuck with if SWIM wants to avoid steam distillation.

However, SWIM has recently had good results with the fore mentioned extract. Results posted in appropriate forum.
