Other - Tylenol 3 pills from 1996, do they go bad?

SWIM found some Tylenol 3 pills (300/30mg Codeine) and the bottle was dated 1996 making them 12-13 years old haha. SWIM knows this is prob a common question and he knows that pills usually last much longer than the expiration date states. But SWIM has never encountered pills this old, they still look fine but would they be dangerous to take? Or would they just be pretty much useless are far as potency goes. As it is these are pretty weak anyway correct? SWIM only has 4 (120 mg of Codeine) and if they are less potent then he thinks they would pretty much be useless as far as any recreational effect goes correct? SWIM is mainly concerned if they would be dangerous to take or if the biggest risk if them just not doing anything.
