Effects - Does SWIY Get Headaches from Adderall?

SWIM has been taking about 20mg XR of Adderall for the past couple of days. SWIM has noticed that about an hour after she takes it, she gets horrible headaches.
SWIM doesn't remember this happening before.
Does SWIY commonly get headaches after taking Adderall?

Red Rock has gotten headaches before but since he took it daily, he thinks it was partly due to the dehydration

SWIM doesn't normally take it daily, she's just been on a binge for a few days.
SWIM tries to drink as much water as possible, because she is already susceptible to dehydration. Apparently, it isn't helping much. );

its most likely dehydration if you normally dont take it regularly, especially if you are already susceptible to it. dont forget to drink a gatorade or something every few liters of water if your drinking a ton of water, you need those electrolytes!

I was put under the impression the Gatorade contributes to dehydration?
Maybe I should just take a multi-vitamin.

Could be dehydration. I'm pretty sure it's listed as a side effect. High blood pressure CAN cause headaches in SOME people too. Although it usually goes without any side effects. Or maybe it's giving swiy some anxiety and shit that's 'causing it? Try some tylenol. It should also help keep hyperthermia from being a problem if it would become one(doing lots of physical work on adderall maybe. Swim gets really sweaty on his binges sometimes).

And about gatorade. No. Gatorade would hydrate you as far as I could tell. Sodium, when mixed with water, is an electrolyte right? Swim thinks he's right on that anyway. And sodium makes your blood vessels retain water. Therefore hydrating you.

correct, if you drink too much water and nothing else it can dilute the sodium in your body. You hear about marathon runners dying from this every once in a while

Hmm. Perhaps it is contributing to SWIM's anxiety levels. SWIM's anxiety levels are through the roof, even without Adderall.
SWIM took some Tylenol a little while ago. Hasn't seemed to help yet...
SWIM is opposite, she doesn't get warm, she's always really cold. Especially now, in her fingers.

Her body probably gets hotter. Which may result in feeling cold. Swim only feels hot because he's usually not sitting down very long on adderall binges. But heat always transfers to colder things. So if your body's getting hotter, it's giving off more heat, therefore making you feel colder. Which is why when you're sick and you're having a fever you feel cold. Even though you're burning up.

Swim has to wear like the perfect amount of clothing on adderall, or he gets too cold(probably partially 'cause of nervous feelings) or too hot(which his body temperature probably is a little higher).

SWIM actually finds that she gets headaches if she doesn't take her adderall. Hmm..makes SWIM wonder if it has something to do with the dopamine levels because she has read that since adderall produces more dopamine, the body doesn't produce as much when when the person is not taking the drug. SWIM doesn't know....its something like that and if she reads on it she could let SWIY know, if SWIY is interested. Maybe SWIY should try taking 10 or 15mgs instead.....maybe the 20 is too much for SWIY?

SWIM's had his extremities turn purple on an OD before. Even on normal doses of Addy SWIM's experience cold hands and feet. Isn't this due to constricted blood vessels? Thus decreasing blood flow?

And, if so, this would also be applicable to the brain, adding to causes of a headache.

SWIM takes a baby aspirin a day and notices whenever he doesn't, the Addy messes with his head..ha..

Read up on how much water you need too. Regulate your liquid intake instead of basing it off feel.

SWIM also turns purple from the 40mg she takes daily. Baby asprin helps? Sweet!

Aspirin also causes some cardiac risks...the doses used for blood clotting are much lower than for pain. Aspirin thins blood and (I think) it raises blood pressure. Take less adderall. Swim only had the blue thing happen once and only a bit when he snorted 60mg and had a low tolerance.

yeah, SWIM takes 81mg/day. He believes he read that was the only dosage showing no negative side effects when taken daily.

SWIM Is prescribed a Adderall just to keep her blood pressure up. SWIM is prescribed lots of drugs from the same doctor to take at the same time as adderall for the same reason.
Adderall 40, Yohimbine 13.2 and Florinef .6. But SWIM doesn't think florinef is any fun so she doesn't take it. So maybe SWIM is blue for other reasons lol but still doesn't like being called smurf by her friends.

This reminds SWIM...she was curious about the strain adderall puts on the heart. SWIM's not referring to binges, but a normal dose (30-60mg) everyday for an ADD person. Do any SWIYs know a lot of info regarding this?

SWIM knows a little more than nothing about it because she's taken it since 1999 and she has a heart condition... constant fast heart rate isn't good for SWIY...

In most swimmers, using the prescribed dose isn't going to fuck up one's heart while swimming and such. This is if and only if adderall doesn't raise the heart rate past a certain point(I belive 100bpm resting or more is tachycardia) and blood pressure too. Swim just get's sweatier but he's exercised on low doses in a very demanding gym glass and been completely fine. But don't go on big week long binges with a single 100mg dose or something crazy. I read about a kid who popped 100mg before football practice and died...which was really idiotic.

Swim has been on one type of ADD med or another for the past 15 years. Ever since Cylert almost screwed up SWIMs liver, she has been prescribed 20mg 3x a day. The headaches are the most frequent (negative) side effect. They are mainly from jaw clenching but also from forgetting to eat properly as well as not getting enough sleep. Get a mouth guard if you clench your jaws. It really helps!

SWIM just went to a maxo-facial specialist yesterday. She has arthritis and no cushion in her jaw from clenching it and grinding her teeth from 10 years of Adderall. SWIM will have a mouth guard type thing that is implanted permanently to the back molars in two weeks.

side effects of adderall are def headache, its like one of the first things listed. what causes it swim isnt sure, but a few Tylenol before helps. my friend also notices the teeth clenching, which she already had probs with before, she just went to a local store and bought a mouth guard, works just as good as the ones the dentist would give. like a smaller version of a sports guard.

def want to make sure swiy is drinking enough water and try to eat something. and sleep as much as swiyou can get. my friend notices the headaches are not as bad after frequent use, but atfirst she would tell swim how bad they were.

she is a chronic pain patient so luckily she will usually have something good for the headache, but she hasnt been able to see the doc for that in a while, so tylenol an hour or so before helps. since she also suffers chronic migraines even without the addies.
