joe (AFOAF) has read many teks on this forum about extraction of lsa bearing seeds and is confused with one aspect of them. what is it that is being taken out of the seeds by firstly using a non polar solvent? joe has heard rumours of it being the "stuff that makes you sick" but what is it that the non polar apparently takes out?
joe has had successful extractions by simply grinding the seeds, placing them in a tea bag, soaking in 95% alcohol for a day or two (just enough to cover the seed matter). removing the alcohol/lsa and evaping off to leave a goop which is further left to dry in a dark room. is there any proof that the innitial non polar is required at all? and if so what does it do to improve the final lsa product? |
