Methadone with hydroxzyne

hi. swims going to see if his psychatrist will put him on hydroxzyne(visteral) instead of the buspar she gave. swim heard that the hydro potenates the methadone. bud does anybody know if it can increase the rate at which the methadone leaves the body? swim has fast motabalizm and is worryied that taht would be a side effect.

SWIM thinks he knows what you are saying and I think my hamster can answer. Vistaril is often used in conjunction with Meperidine (Demerol) to provide a synergistic effect. Often times, psychiatrists who are trained in addictionology will prescribe patients who are on Methadone and have a panic disorder, Vistaril or Buspar instead of Benzodiazepines for said disorder because it is safer. As far as SWIMs hamster knows, Vistaril is fairly safe to use with Methadone and should not cause ones dose to me metabolized any quicker.
