Codeine Intensity

How intense are the effects of codeine in comparison to say heroin. Swim seems to be insensitive to opiates so he isn't sure if codeine would have any effect on him at all.

Swims tried hydromorphone and heroin and the hydro was useless but heroin got him buzzing. Is codeine anyway comparable to heroin?
