Injecting - IV vs Smoking

When swim was hanging around with a few of his friends who were junkies last summer being the fiend that he is he'd pitch in everytime they called the dealer around and swim started off snorting it but once he tried smoking it then he did that from then on because it because it kicked in instantly. One day swim decided to try shooting it up because he'd tried all the other methods of ingestion but all his friends went mad saying "no way your shooting up" and "your crazy im not letting you shoot up cuz theres no turning back".

Is IVing it really that much better than smoking?

With regards to nodding there is not much difference. However the hit from injection is what gets so many people so hooked on it. SWIm thinks SWIY shouldnt really bother. They are right there is no turning back. If SWIY can smoke it and get high don't start injecting yet.

SWIM's sincere advise is, as you would expect, not to begin injecting. The bioavilability is so much higher and its so much more efficient that it pushes your tolerance through the roof. The main reason people begin injecting is because they are addicted with a heavy tolerance and they need to save money (in the long run, it does not save money, but in the short run it works).

If you do not have a high tolerance then there is no reason to begin injecting, and you should not.

With injecting, it's all about the rush. For SWIM, he loves that feeling when the smack is coursing through his veins, not just because of the rush, but because the rush signals that everything will be okay, that the stuff is flowing through his body and that he'll be able to function and be sociable for 4-6 hours. Obviously, SWIY can get the same results by snorting or smoking. Only the rush will be missing. But the rush is addictive, psychologically as well as physically.

Injecting it makes smoking it seem like acetaminophen to oxycodone.. It's an amazing feeling. Nothing tops it.. And SWIM means nothing

With snorting and smoking the way SWIM felt was as though there was a beginning of a rush but the rush never came.

SWIY either has a tolerance or is not smoking with the right technique as you can get quite a rush chasing the dragon. In fact, the drug hits you faster when you smoke it (albeit in smaller quantities).

SWIM prepared it by gettting his piece of foil and placing his piece of tar on the foil.. Then he would cover his finger in water and run it over the shit until it was dissolved and spread out amongst the foil and then dried there.. SWIM doesn't know if SWIY has IV injected it because the rush from an injection makes smoking it seem like shit.. And if SWIY has done an injection SWIY obviously isn't doing enough..

SWIM was an IV heroin addict for more than a year, he has certainly injected "enough." Sometimes dangerous quantities. The point is, one can get a perfectly good rush from smoking if done right and if the user has no tolerance. If you have a tolerance or have really poor quality dope, smoking won't hold a candle to injection.

I dunno, swim smoked gear fulltime for about a year, and even before that when he wasn't addicted, he never got anything he would call a 'rush'.
swim only ever got a rush from injecting heroin.
