SFA what's the deal?

everyone once in awhile SWIM hears someone say something like "i knew someone who took lsd and never came down" "I knew someone who took salvia and never came down"

what's the deal with that? is it even possible?

SWIm tells me she thinks thats mostly urban legend to scare people.

BUT - swim also knows that if someone has latent mental health issues like psychosis, then one could definetly trigger the start of an episode through the use of drugs.

Swim has a friend who took acid and had a 24 hour bad trip where he was shouting incoherent words and thrashing all over the place and not even seeing the people around him even though his eyes were open. After that, he was pretty messed up for 3 months but, having seen a psychiatrist who put him on drugs, the drugs having worked and then him come off them, he is a lot better and the doctor said that he definitely hasn't developed a mental health problem/condition. He had only taken acid once before, and was a normal sane (as far as i could tell) person.

I think that is the extent to which a "normal" person can be messed up by acid. If he hadn't got professional help and hadn't been very strong minded to get through it swim thinks it could have been a lot worse.

Swim has never heard of anything like that from Salvia- It is too short acting.
