Effects - Bad Trips on Mushrooms but Not on LSD?

Okay, swim has tried mushrooms, and every single time, except for once with 1 gram, has had paranoid, freaky, nasty crying-in-a-corner thinking she will die trips.

Now swim has done LSD, and on that substance, has a BALL. It calms her down, makes her medatative, and is just generally a wonderful trip.

SWIM has often heard that usually its the other way around. Is anyone like swim? Does anyone know why this happens?

They are two different substances with different effects on different people. Some are simply not able to handle certain drugs.

I have seen no evidence that mushrooms are gentler than LSD, or that one has a higher "bad trip" rate than another. Such perceptions are purely subjective anyway.

Other factors are dosage and set & setting. Perhaps SWIY is taking too high a dose.

SWIM finds that it is the other way around, but SWIM guesses some people are different. SWIM would suggest trying a differnt strain of mushroom. SWIM finds that different mushrooms give him different trips, sometimes laughing, sometimes more thoughtful and introspective, and sometimes more visual.
