Pharmacology - Cross Tolerance with Opiates?

Hi everyone. this is swims first time on the salvia forum. swim has been using opiates for... shit, like 3 years straight. He recently wanted to explore salvia so he got an ounce of leaves and a gram of 15x extract. the night that swim tried that salvia he was at baseline (no poppies since the morn).

now swim was expecting some gnarly experience and he really wanted one. swim ended up smoking more than half the gram of extract plus a shit load of leaves. he made sure to get em nice and hot and to hold the smoke in. it was dissapointing to say the least. all swim felt was a little light headed and had some intense time dilation. no visuals no twisted thought. swim definitly is capable of achieving visuals with other drugs like 2C-I and other phens.

since swim is an opie addict was swims experience due to his tolerance with opies? i am going on the assumption that salvia acts as a kappa-opioid agonist. swim recalls a situation years ago when he first heard of salvia: some friends were smoking it with great effect and then some girl whom many people said was a junkie tried it and she said "nothing happened" (paraphrasing.....)

so is swim destined to never experience salvia fully or are my assumptions and thus conclusions wrong?
