please explain further what SWIY is looking for. SWIM always fills his balloons straight from the tank. Of course he works with medical and food grade only.

Most compressed gas cylinders in the u.s. anyway have compressed gas association (CGA) standard fittings. So swiy would just have to figure out what fitting type is on the cylinder ie CGA 540, CGA 580 or whatever, and then from an industrial supplier (there's lots on the internet) get the proper fitting to pipe thread and then attach the ballon adapter to that?

Try looking in the shops that carry scuba tanks and parts. I built a hooka type adaptor for my tank but had a hard time locating the fittings I needed. Someone suggested I try the scuba shop and I found exactly what I needed. Good luck!
