UK - Outdoor Cannabis Grows: Will the Police actually notice.

I was debating over where this should go law and order or cannabis growing, but information isn't required on cannabis growing, just the police attention to it.

It seems the police in the UK seem only to be focusing on indoor cannabis farms, do you think it's likely that the police are even looking out for cannabis plants growing outdoors. SWIM was thinking of copying the american style grows you see the DEA catching all the time, where they plant on public land like forests and things, SWIM can't see the police even looking for them there. SWIM never seems to hear about commercial outdoor busts in the UK. Maybe someone dumb enough to plant it in a greenhouse in full view of the neighbors, but SWIM has never heard of a commericial crop being found. Is it that the UK climate isn't suitable for these sorts of grows? Or is it that no ones bothered trying.

SWIM was thinking of spreading around 100 plants around different rural areas. Is this smart? Could SWIM be linked to it? Is it likely SWIM's crop will be found?

Swim thinks it can be done, but swiy wont get the best quality and there still a risk.

I'm pretty sure its possible to have a crop outdoors in the UK. I know it has a wet climate though I'm not sure on the temperature there since I've never been or researched, but i belive people have probably tried to and if swiy hasn't ever heard of an outdoor bust then swiy probably has a good chance of not being the first lol.

On swiy's idea of spreading the plants out is good, but make sure swiy doesnt make them to far apart or swiy will be spending all day to look after 100 plants. Swim has had several outdoor crops ranging from 10-20 plants, and it still takes sometime to look after that, so be ready to put a lot of time and effort into 100. Goodluck!

SWIM knows that hemp is grown in the UK (mainly in the south) to make products like hempcrete for building purposes; so SWIM sees no reason why cannibis can't be grown outdoors in the UK. SWIM is no expert though, and he does not know if the amount of sunlight or other environmental conditions will have and adverse affect on the recreational variety of this plant. Industrial hemp is deliberately grown close together to make it grow tall and have a woody stalk, but from what SWIM hears the recreational variety needs to be low to the ground with good access to light and lots of room to spread out its foliage.

SWIM saw a good video clip on Youtube about how not to get busted growing outdoors. It is called 'NEVER GET RAIDED Preview- Growing Outdoors'. SWIY might want to consider ordering the full version.

After doing some research, SWIM has come to the conclusion that it is possible but the growing season is very short.

Where to grow Outdoors The growing season in the UK is rather short. Cannabis is induced to flower when the daylight has reduced to about 13 hours per day. This happens sometime during September, therefore the plant has only 6 to 10 weeks flowering time before the first frost kills the plant.

September and October can also be cold and wet, increasing the chances of fungus and disease ruining the crop. There are varieties bred especially for outdoor growing in Northern Europe, but these tend to give poorer results than the best indoor or greenhouse types.

If the Police do find it, they'll most likely keep it under surveillance until they figure out who's it is and then arrest them. The whole point of growing it indoors is that its easier to conceal.
