Swim is planning to get some opiates soon which he is very excited about. He has quite a lot of d-amphetamine and d-methylphenidate from prescriptions given to him a few months back but never bothered to take because of the edginess and he is wondering which one would be a good synergy with the opiate high and besides the being careful with the doses are there any other dangers he should be aware of.

SWIM wouldn't say that synergy is what one would get when combining opiates and stimulants. What SWIY will get is two types of 'highs' competing with each other. This isn't to say that the combination of the two isn't enjoyable. SWIM would agree that opiates do take the edge off of stimulants. I guess SWIY now just needs to figure which one to take first or to take them both at the same time. Cheers! |

Re: Methylphenidate or amphetamine for opiate combo
While this is very much touted a "dangerous mix" as you are basically making your body fight against itself (uppers & downers) SWIM would suggest using the uppers first, then take the benzo's when the high is turning edgy and SWIY is ready to chill out (come down). Most stimulant users do this to help the come down, SWIM certainly does. Most important thing to remember is to dose slowly, one can always take a bit more if desired effect isn't happening, but if one takes too much, there's no going back. Know yourself, know your tolerance, if SWIY is one who tends to get "out of control" during use, SWIM wouldn't recommend the combo. It just begs for an emergency room visit!

Re: Methylphenidate or amphetamine for opiate combo
In SWIM's experience, combinations involving methylphenidate have a greater chance of producing adverse effects/experiences.

Re: Methylphenidate or amphetamine for opiate combo
"Benzos" smokerings? I think you'll find they were never mentioned. Opiates and an upper is at issue, and methylphenidate is probably the safer to use, especially in the d-MPH (focalin) form.

Oops! Thanks for the catch ConcertaXL, SWIM was obviously reading way too fast!
