Psychedelic vs. Psycholitic

LSD had got such a bad reputation these days and the blotters are so weak, that where i come from many peopel who think they know acid don't have a clue. they do small doses ("psycholitic experience") and miss out on all the fun ("psychedelic experience").


so for your information: when you go over the 200mic dose, the effect becomes X100 stronger, and it's something else altogether.


just don't forget to do it safely. you should trip at least a couple of times and handle it easily before taking such a dose, avoid stressing situations at all cost, and have someone capable to talk you out of paranoia in case one comes up.

Dose = Psychedelic


Reading thedefinition, I feel that it's a bit short-sided.


A psychedelic dose, around 500 micrograms, produces total but temporary breakdown of usual ways of perceiving self and world and (usually) some form of 'peak experience' or mystic transcendence of ego'


First, how many people who take medium-to-large doses actually have a Peak Experience? I have talked to a few travelers, and (depending on what you define as Peak), it is not an assured thing.


Second, in just about every Trip, I have had part of it go just like a psycholitic dose.


Each Trip can go wherever it goes. Sometimes I am more earthbound; sometimes earth only pops up once an hour or so.


I carefully plan each experience. This enables them to be closer to what I want them to be. I write out notes: This is what I want to happen ... 1, 2, 3, 4 not necessarily in that order. This helps prevent my soaring psyche from latching on to things which take me places I don'twant to visit.


So, one day I Trip while doing hours of a physical task. This day I am earthbound. I use my Trip to perform each work task in a smooth, gentle manner. I get endless satisfaction by using my concentration to perfect my movements. Then, I watch and cheer myself on. Paying attention is the biggest asset a person can have, in this world of the half-asleep (that is, if a person is actually wanting to explore their spiritual side).


Another day, I trip while sitting. This day, the earth disappears, and the other realms open up ... one after another. I watch, as a happy participant to the show.I find a "filter" (as i call it): Away of looking at the world. If that view is an uplifting one, then I stay with it for as long as it wants to be there, and try to incorporate it into my daily view. If not, it was a good show anyway.Edited by: Solidly-here

My first trip was on LSD. A definitie 'psyclitic' dose, although I felt I had a full-blown 'psychedelic' experience.

note that rather large grey area in the faq description between 200 mics and 500 mics.SET and SETTING come into play there: you can have either experience.


i'd bet if you trip enough times and have the right personality (i.e. you are "sensitive" to acid) you can go psychedelic on less than 200 mics. - slowly submerge yourself in the psychedelic experience...


i wonder, are there people here who've tripped many many times and can say what happened with their dosage sensitivity?

In RCs, I can fake a higher dose.


I have taken 4-HO-DiPT (at least) 120 times. During these years, I have played with the dosages.


When I am going to do some physical activity (2 or 3 hours worth) during my 12-hour shift, I can take about half-a-dose. Then, I tell myself: "You just took a BIG dose, so trip on." (This is like a trick I do when joggingUP a hill. I say: "Wow! I am running DOWN the hill." My body responds with calm, and increased speed.)


As I pay attention to my breathing (especially easy during physical labor), I can Let Go of the trappings of this world, and latch onto the realms beyond. The world slips away, and my concentration rests calmly on the task at hand (in the whole world, there is only this task ... my life IS this task). I then move precisely (and rejoice that I am performing this task so well). Then I approach perfection (perfection of intention, perfection of movement, perfection of concentration). My whole life IS great (for those few minutes).


You are what you believe. If you believe that you have taken enough acid to fry, you can fry. (The opposite is also true.) Even if I don't have faith in myself, I can (and do) have faith in the process. This psychedelic process is my friend. I trust him. I believe in him.Edited by: Solidly-here
