Swims 1. sublingual Salvia experience.
Swim got the "Sage Goddess Emerald Essence" he ordered last Monday. He’s been very interested in Salvia Divinorum for some time and had already made up his mind to dose the same night. His experience with the plant so far was two times when smoking 5x extract, which was really interesting, but he was looking for a little more gentle transition from sober to outer space and that’s why he got the emerald essence.
He made up his mind to follow the manufacturers suggestion for a 4 dropper dose in the first trial to see what that was like, but as usual, when it was time to go he was hit by this annoying pre trip anxiety, so he did two droppers instead. Immediately before he dosed he brushed his teeths, but did not use mouthwash as some suggests.
He diluted it with hot water and poured it into his mouth, then went to his bedroom to wait for the effects. The fluid didn’t taste bad, but he has to say it made his mouth salivate a lot even though he diluted it as described in the pamphlet that came with the tincture.
After about 10 minutes he felt a change in his thinking. It felt like when one is about to fall asleep and nods in and out between sleep and awake. When he let himself be taken away he dreamt in a way much like when one has a fever and the fantasy get carried away, but still he could come back if he opened his eyes.
He regretted not doing a bigger dose and wanted to add another two droppers, but unfortunately he could not remember how to use his legs! One minute he was laying in bed thinking he was gonna get up and go to the kitchen, the next he was wondering how he would do that.
There was a period of confusion where he went back and forth into these dreams and a conscious state, before he managed to sit up in bed and then get up and into the kitchen.
Still he was a bit “out of it” so preparing the second dose was slightly complicated, but at last he managed to make another dose of two droppers and went back into bed.
He was still affected by the first dose and his memory is seriously blurred about this point in time, but it was probably more of what he experienced during the first dose. Who knows, he’s confused as hellJ
At some point in time he got out of bed again to let in the cat. He found walking was pretty difficult now, it felt like he has tilting backwards and that he was very heavy. The cat jumped up in bed with him and felt asleep on his chest which is very unusual. It was like it was drugged and swim was wondering if it got affected by swims condition. Again who knows, but anyway the damn cat was OUT just like when he gets home from the vet.
After a while swim felt pretty sure he was sober enough to get out of bed, but still for the rest of the night he was in a dreamy state. Swim find it very hard to give any reference in time about what happened when, but he knows for sure the two doses(two droppers each) was space too far from each other to be a so called “staggered dose”
He felt the effects for several days afterwards, but again it’s difficult to describe those effects other than that something feels different. Not a bad feeling either.
Another thing swim can mention is that he did a 4 dropper dose on Saturday night and even though it is a bigger dose he cant say it felt that way while it was peaking. However after coming out of it and having a light meal, and when he went back to bed he had some very lively dreams! It sounds strange, but he can’t remember much of it, just had that feeling when he woke up Sunday. Now, 4 days later he still feels affected by the tincture. It leaves him with more questions than answers. It’s probably gonna take him some time to get to know Salvia.
Another thing to mention is that even if a sublingual dose of Salvia give a little more time before it takes effect in comparison to a smoked dose, it's still a pretty fast come on in swims opinion.
