why swim needs so much methadone?? wow crazy

something funny. swim noticess that even though his tolerance wasn't that huge. 40-50mg oxy a day or a bag of dope would last the whole day for swim. swim is on the clinic. he's on 75mg methadone and that just bearly holds him the day but he check the narcotic converter thing and it says that 75 mg of done is like equal to likd over 300mg oxy. swims beenon methadone for around 5-6 months. why would swim need such a huge dose of methadone now. has being on the meth. made swims tolerance go haywire. if swim were to get off the methadone and go on oxy again would he need 400 mg to get off?


ps. does liquid methadone sink to the bottome of the methadone pump or is it all equaly mixed. they mix it with water but some days it looks darker than others and tastes it too so swim was wonderin if the methadone concentrate might sink?

Different people respond to methadone differently so there *is* no straight conversion between methadone and oxy. It's impossible to look at someone's oxy habit and say they will need X amount of methadone to hold them (this is the point of titrating your dose initially).

Regarding the concentration issues, what you are noting is probably not the methadone (which is water soluable) but insoluble fillers and other stuff from wherever they got the methadone (crushed pills?).

Good luck on the methadone... SWIM thinks you should stop them from bumping SWIY up any higher but do what SWIY digs.

its the cherry methadose liquid. it comes in liquid form and they mix it with water . some days its realy thick and tastes stronger other days it looks watered down thats why swim thought it might sink to the bottom of the pump they use.

The extra stuff you are noticing which makes it thick is just the flavoring agent and not the methadone. The latter should be more or less evenly distributed when its aqueous.

Where this fish I heard of rests his bones, Methadone clinics are about as prevalent as gas stations. Black market Methadone flows like water. 1000ml Methadose jugs from the clinics are often pilfered, sometimes almost half the bottle, and the displaced Methadone is replaced with some similar looking substance. There are ways to get the cap off without breaking the seal. Most clinics have cameras but most are not monitored by a human. SWIY would be surprised at what goes on with some of the staff at a Methadone clinic. So, if one day your dose tastes a little weak, it might make you wonder. Also, all of the clinics where SWIM resides use electric pumps hooked up to computers to dispense the red nectar. These too can be rigged or altered. Just a thought. I don't want to make SWIY paranoid that the tech at the clinic is nicking some of his juice. Just wanted to add that METHADOSE is a liquid oral suspension. Unless the Methadose is bad or out of date, precipitates WILL NOT be visible.

over here they give it to us in individual bottles that contain predetermined dosages and they make us watch them break the seal and open them
you think theres anyway they could pilpher some of my dose without breaking the seal?

That's a tough one to answer. SWIM's guess would be probibly not. I't would seem not to be worth the effort with individual dose bottles. Where SWIM comes from, if you have a discrepancy with your dose, you can ask for that dose to be sealed by the head tech in a signed tamper proof container and sent to a lab to be tested for its actual mg content. Another thing SWIY might want to do is if you get a 'take home' dose, have that tested. Of course you would be sacrificing your dose for that day. But hey, nothing beats peace of mind.

Over4 here,(UK) they put in the amount for each doze serarately, for the individuals doze, whether it be a weeks worth or a days worth, if using a chemist, and if you are at your chemist early enough can watch them making it. Always shake the bottle if you get more than one days worth as i do believe that you can end up with a lesser or higher doze if you do not...
As SWIM has personally taken the same that he was allright on the day before and found that he was ill earlier the next day, or craving opiates, before taking his next doze, which then worked fine. Then again, that could just be the body playing up, but i do not think so.

I don't know about the concentration/settling/etc stuff, but I can attest that some of us just require higher dosages. My fish was consuming around 250--300 mg of the OX daily among other stuff (this is relatively low for a junkie) but is now just barely stable at 105 mg of methadone (which is relatively high even for a junkie). He is one of these fast metabolizers, which is a bit of a hassle because it hits him strong (almost stronger than desired) but fizzles out early.
