Extracting crystals instead of resin - how?

*ignore this thread, the process needs quite advanced lab equipment

SWIM has seen on the market concentrated crystal extracts made from kratom (he would presume they are mostly 7-OHM), and was wondering how one would go about this extraction process?

Extracting resin is easy enough, it's just a simple water / alcohol soak and evaporate, but what chemicals would one use to isolate the wanted chems from the extracted gunk?
