Re: most worthwhile legal herbs/enthos to grow???
Peruvian Torch or San Pedro? Peyote if that's legal in the area.
Kratom I think is a small tree? I'm not sure how practical growing it would be. |

Re: most worthwhile legal herbs/enthos to grow???
well my friends gfs thinking is if she grew it them self's with nice organic conditions it would be perhaps more potent than vendors products. kinda like homegrown bud vs street bud.
plus you know exactly what was used in the growing process and extraction process. san pedro is def not legal in her area. shes just looking for something to grow for fun that can have beneficial use. she believes kanna, kratom, and kava would be the best bets.... since she suffers from adhd and anxiety. she is looking for stuff that will be LegaL... and just fun. She doesnt hear about many people growing these herbs them selfs. a blended extract of all herbs at once seems promising... |

T. Bridgessi is a very easy plant to grow. It pretty much takes care of itself. Although, the growth is very slow.
It makes a very nice ornament for sure. |

Kratom can be very hard to grow. potency cant be guaranteed but most likely will be low. Its extremely hard to get real kratom seeds and trees.

He's right. You need the right climate for kratom to get anywhere near potent.

Re: most worthwhile legal herbs/enthos to grow???
Just to clarify this post, I suspect the poster means Trichocereus bridgesii (aka Echinopsis lageniformis), a mescaline-containing cactus. Quite a lovely plant, especially if you're a fan of long spiky bits.

Re: most worthwhile legal herbs/enthos to grow???
Nobody took a cutting from a Betel vine at the local Botanical Gardens and it's rooting quite nicely and starting to put out new leaves. You'd be surprised what they'll have growing in public gardens, most will even give you cuttings if you ask.

Re: most worthwhile legal herbs/enthos to grow???
While the definition of "legal" depends on where you live, SWIM would go with plants that have proven effects:
San Pedro/Peruvian Torch/Bridgesii cacti Ephedra Kratom Poppies (technically illegal in most areas, but not a major threat if planted sparsely among other common plants) Kanna Kava Kava Valerian Of course some of these are hard to grow and take years to mature (ephedra), but these are time-tested entheogens that most people get some effect from, and not a shitty effect like the poisonous Datura or Amanita Muscaria. |

Quote:
Swim grows echinacea and chamomille grows like a weed many places where he lives. Chamomille can have sedative effects at certain dosages, but echinacea is best used as a preventative for colds. If swirx420 wants to cultivate plants just for fun he/she would save themselves some trouble by not narrowing their plants to just psychoactive ethnos; there just aren´t that many that are very good and grow under the same conditions. Swim has a a small medicinal herb garden, which he uses for teas. Few of the herbs are strongly psychoactive, but they taste nice and are fun to cultivate. There is a better plant for getting high..... It is also nice to grow ones own fruits and vegetables, fresh tomatoes, for instance, will make you wonder how they get away with selling the crappy, semi-ripened ones you find in food stores. Some "medicinal" herbs that grows easily outdoors: Hyssop Lavender Rosemary Sage(officinalis) St. Johns Wort Peppermint Thyme Yarrow Good luck |
