Dose - Question concerning dosage and tolerance

Hi guys, I've been doing lots of reading on these forums but this is my first post. I've looked through quite a few tolerance related posts, but I've yet to find an answer to the following:

SWIM is quite an experienced psychedelic user, and is certainly familiar with the diminished LSD effect due to tolerance. SWIM recalls many months ago having a +++ trip off of two hits, and dropped five around 8 days later, only to experience a ++ at best..

Does anyone know of any lab rats who have successfully experienced an equivalent trip to a recent one by significantly upping the dosage? Suppose SWIM eats two hits on a Friday. After 2 or 3 days, will increasing the dose 3, 4 or even 5 times match or surpass his Friday night adventure?
