USA - Hypothetic question: Receiving drugs through the mail in the US.

I apologize if this hypothetical question has been asked before. I browsed around, but couldn't find it.

OK, Hypo: SWIM, a citizen of the US, is on vacation in Amsterdam. What would happen if SWIM took a small quantity of a drug that was considered highly illegal in the US, and mailed it home to himself. However, the name on the return address was not SWIM, but rather something like Lee Harvey Oswald or whatever (you get the picture).

Therefore, what risk would SWIM be putting himself under? I mean, couldn't SWIM always act as if he has no clue who the sender (Lee Oswald) is, nor does he know why they are sending that to him???

Without getting into too many "what ifs", etc... the general question resides around what is the worst that could happen to SWIM if he were to get caught? Let's say his envelope
