Did Swim fry his brain?

For some time now Swim has been worried that his past use of MDMA may have had some serious, long-time effects on his brain.

Swim has taken MDMA about twenty times over the past few years. The last time was more than half a year ago. Swim weighs in at 70kg.

Several times, especially in the beginning when Swim had just discovered MDMA, he used it irresponsibly. At least five or six times Swim took large doses (400mg+), always with a couple of hours between 100mg / 150mg doses - he's not sure about the strength of the MDMA, definitely not 100%; he has been told somewhere around 75% - with little space in between, sometimes without much sleep also.

During the most frequent period, Swim took MDMA about ten times in three months. Several times, Swim knows he was scraping the barrel as the MDMA would no longer have the usual euphoric effect and Swim would feel jittery and nervous.

Lately, Swim has been getting sensations that he remembers having for the first time during MDMA comedowns: regional headache (burning sensation) at the back of his head, cold sweat, frequent cold shivers down his spine.

Swim also has trouble seeing in the dark - he can still see, but he says the world becomes a bit like that snow you see on the tv when the channel stops airing. When he closes his eyes to sleep he experiences a 'flickering' sensation of sorts. Also, particularly in the dark, when he stares at something for a couple of seconds the image seems to morph, most of all faces change. This happened for the first time during an intense MDMA session, and it still continues to this day.

Swim has also had some serious mental side effects. One specific comedown was particularly harsh. Swim is afraid some weird stuff from that comedown still lingers... but he doesn't really know how to explain it. He feels he might have developed something of a personality / behavioural disorder.

Swim has had many sleepless nights since. He is worried he has fried his brain! What should Swim do?

Re: Did Swim fry his brain?

SWIY did not try his brain... your serotinin levels are just out of order..
try to exercise and take good care of your body/mind. vitamines and healthy food.
SWIY will probably recover fast!

don't do mdma or even better don't do drugs for a while.

Re: Did Swim fry his brain?

How should Swim go about restoring serotonin levels? Swim thinks he is already pretty healthy.

Ganja, would you consider ayahuasca such a drug?

No that would not be a drug that SWIY should take to restore the levels. Follow the first replies advice, and look into 5-htp. And keep SWIYs experiences at a responsible level, and maybe pre-load and post-load to help the crash.
