How does eating affect MDMA effects?

Last time SWIM dropped he had a big meal around two hours beforehand and he thinks it took a long time for the comeup (around 1.5hrs!), is this common when eating food beforehand?

Presumably, as will most drugs taken orally, a good meal will help prevent an upset stomach, is this likewise with MDMA?

SWIM doesn't want to take so long to come up again, but also doesn't want to feel sick (though this has never happened to him on MDMA), will a smaller or earlier eaten meal resolve this?
