Fake Mushrooms: How to Tell?

is there a kind of mushroom that isn't magic but looks the same? how do you identify real magic mushrooms?

my friend is looking around for shrooms. he doesn't know anyone he really trusts who sells them, so he just wants to make sure that he doesnt get chinced.
