Drug info - getting shrooms on internet

Swim is from uk, and has been researching shrooms for a while, Swim has found that you can get them on the internet, are these just a lod of rubbish or are they any good Dried Fly Agaric Mushroom. any info would be usefull

One can get Dried Fly Agaric Mushrooms online from different sources but they produce a totally different high than psilocybin mushrooms.

Fly agaric mushrooms are legal (so can be ordered over the internet), because they aren't the standard type of magic mushroom (ie. they don't contain psilocin/psilocybin, but contain muscimol instead). Instead of being a psychedelic, it is a deleriant (giving true hallucinations where you may be unsure that you have actually taken a drug).

This is something that you should definitely research more (there is a whole subsection about them here in the magic mushroom section, called "amanitas"), and while (unlike with other naturally occuring deleriants) many people report these mushrooms to be an enlightening experience and go on to repeat it, these could seriously make you have the worst tine of your life. I doubt that anyone considers them fun.

I doubt you would try this anyway, but this is someting I have to put in. Do not try any fly agaric mushrooms found in the wild (they are very common in the UK) because they need special preparation (they need to be cooked over a very long period of time), or they are very poisonous.. A bit of preparation from any fly agaric bought online just in case would be wise as well.

For you to ask this question, I think it is likely that you haven't done enough research, and "a while" isn't long enough. But now you know what you have access to, and can research that accordingly. Having no hallucinogenic experience and then trying a powerful deleriant is a bad idea. It would be safer (though still not without risks for someone who is inexperienced) to wait untill shroom season comes round again and pick some liberty caps.

There are a lot more trip reports on erowid.org (also under "amanitas") than on here (probably for some of the reasons I have already mentioned).

Yes Fly Algerics Are LEGAL and more Dangerous than the "MAGIC MUSHROOMS" that contian psilocin/psilocybin which are illegal


Obviously our governments care more about our health and saftey..

That is why FA's are legal and not psilocybin

SWIM has heard that these mushrooms can be fatal even when prepared properly, so SWIM wouldn't dare take them. It is unfortunate, but typical, for UK policy to ban the much safer psylocybe mushrooms but the much more dangerous Aminita mushrooms are still legal. If by 'good' swiy means 'is it active' then it most definitily is; but is swiy prepared to risk his life for it? SWIM would discourage SWIY from using it.

Well done for using SWIM, but source discussion is against the rules, and actually posting links to sources is doubly against the rules.

It seems like you are rushing into it, did you read what I wrote? they are not classic "shrooms" and you certainly didn't have time to do the research that I suggested in the four minutes that you replied to me in.

After reading a trip report relating to the Amanita Pantherina I have decided to relate my own experience with this nightmare shroom...

1994, Seattle, Wa... I ate the shroom just as I got off of work and began walking home... Arriving at the rooming house I was living in at the time... I went down to my friends basement apartment and drank a a couple beers and had a couple of lines of coke with my friend and this other guy... Everything began to spin, faster and faster... I stumbled out into the basement area and vomited in the laundry sink... I was assisted to my room, everything kept spinning faster and faster until it seemed to cease spinning at all... At this point my normal conciousness ceased... I was floating in blackness, without a body... I was concious only of a ball of white light apperently in front of me... I existed in this condition for what seemed to be eternity...

During this period (theres really no way to describe this) I was merely concious of this white light, I could not remember being human, my name, or anything... I was only percieving, floating, in a void... the light, i believe or rather in some strange way felt, was the entire universe and the combination of all of the sounds or rather the combination of all of the vibrations of the entire universe made this harmonic hum... Though I am not really sure how i heard it, as I said, i was not concious of having a body or ears or eyes... after what seemed to be an entire life cycle of the universe I began to remember what had occurred... I remember thinking... 'OH SH@#!!! IM DEAD!!!'... I remembered eating the mushroom... I remember thinking, 'Ill never see my friends and family again!!!'

I remember wondering if I were really dead, and again why i was completely alone... I was never aware of any thing other than myself and the light... and then, gradually in an inexplicable proccess i began to perceive and 're-enter' my body... with the sensation of coming from beneath in darkness as if my body were a shell that concealed a bottomless darkness... struggling climbing back into it... i remember at this point of 'in-betweeness' of perceiving the 'insides' of objects at the same time as the out side (surface)... the substance of the objects seemed to be darkness, or hollow, with a skin of reality on the outside...

Really there is no way to communicate the experience... it changed my life and has cast a major shadow over the years following... i wouldnt recommend this experience to anyone... It was by far the most intense experience of my life to date... tripping on death... part of myself died on that trip... even more horrifying than two boxes of coricidinHBP... More nasty than a whole box of dramamine... And guess what... the shroom was picked right on the UW campus... just across the street from the medical center...

The type of shrooms he is talking about (Fly Agaric) are legal in the UK because they don't contain psilocybin or psilocyn.

You are giving SWI Informer bad advise from a legal point of view. It is now illegal to grow fungi containing psilocybin or psilocyn in the UK.

As far as I know, just buying the spores without using them is still legal though.

Yes SWIM is aware that a lot of people buy them for 'mycology study' but it is illegal to grow them. SWIM was just pointing out that this was bad legal advise. Aminitas on the other hand are not regulated in the UK as far as SWIM is aware. But SWIM still has doubts about how safe they are in terms of toxicity.

Swim has found a UK based website that is advertising them but they say they only deliver to Europe and outside of the UK.
