dihydrocodeine instead of codeine

If SWIM is unable to convert codeine to morphine in his liver [not able to get a high from codeine] would he be able to use dihydrocodeine? Or does the body use the same mechanism to convert that?

This is correct, DHC is active by itself and doesn't need to be metabolised first.

Procedure is exactly the same as for codeine. SWIM can confirm it works very well.

Re: dihydrocodeine instead of codeine

Should dosage be the same for dihydrocodeine and codeine?

SWIM would say DHC is a bit stronger, but not twice as strong - try it at 2/3 of your normal codeine dose, perhaps.

Re: dihydrocodeine instead of codeine

SWIM has one other DHC related question, because there is no need to metabolise it then does it not have a ceiling effect?

Re: dihydrocodeine instead of codeine

SWIM will post his experience in the [almost-dead] DHC experiences thread.
He told me he'll go for 20-25 paramols probably.
