Over dose?

I know people have said it is impossible to die from eating lsd but X came close....

Having secured some liquid, dropped a drop and enjoyed a very nice trip.
X thought the come up was slow and the visuals weren't as strong as he could remember.

X, the next day looked in the bottle to see maybe half a dozen good drops which water was added to, bottle shaken and then the contents were necked.

Within maybe ten minutes, X felt like shit basically, very intoxicated, couldn't walk as legs kept giving way and sick. X had touble breathing and couldn't open his eyes as the visuals were very strong and nausiating.

X was wondering if it is actually possible to die from ingesting too much lsd?

X felt he came close.

You don't have to tell X he was stupid.

Re: Over dose?

well comming close to ODing and ODing are 2 totally different things, I doubt that you were close to ODing anyway.

lets say it was 100ug per drop, if you had 6 drops left 600ug and you added water and shook it id say around 800ug? which is a very large dose, could be just that X wasnt used to it and it was too intense for him.

or it wasnt acid.

Re: Over dose?

X says deffo acid, he bought it from a very impecable source

White crystal, disolved in water the day before he picked it up so very fresh.

Plus, X spent the day before the massive hit giving it out to friends who all said nice things about it.

Prob not used to it, X only does it maybe once a year as he is very sensitive to it and has had bad experiences before.

Re: Over dose?

According to swim: Most if not all reported LSD OD's are actually 5-MeO-AMT or some other substituted RC.

There has never been a death officially confirmed to have been caused by the direct effects of LSD on the body. People have harmed themselves, but that is different.

It sounds to swim like you just had more than you could handle at the time... Swim has taken doses of 1000mics and felt better than other trips on just 200 mics. Although increasing the dose increases the chance of things getting too intense, other factors such as experience setting and so on are equally if not more important

Just because you feel like your going to die, that doesn't mean you are actually in any danger, at least not with a drug like LSD. Paranoid thoughts are just a psychological reaction which you can overcome by ignoring them.

Heh, indeed. Swim has been sick from a bad trip before and its pretty uncomfortable. Swim has also had difficulty breathing when he tried to talk his voice came out all weak and croaky which shocked him so much as it was not intended that his throat siezed up at the top. Hard to ignore indeed but a fun challenge swim thought. but swim is crazy...

Swiy's experience was probably different but swim still suspects it was all psychological.

Re: Over dose?

theres no way a dose that low would be considered an overdose: it is more of a psychological overload than a toxic overdose

Re: Over dose?

Seeing as how the estimated lethal dose is between 200mics to 1 mg per kilogram of body mass, it is almost certain you didn't even almost OD.

Re: Over dose?

If SWIY knew he was sensitive to it, why did he take a relatively large dose, and even added water to get every drop. Next time just mind your dose and take a break longer than a day between doses. Also consider how SWIY lives your life, how healthy you were before taking it and consider if any bad karma is coming bark around to SWIY. In swims opinion LSD definately has a way of having an instant karma effect and consequences for SWIMs recent actions are percieved psychically and physically.

Re: Over dose?

SWIM says:

at around 500ug (which is probably the least amount SWIY ingested if it was as fresh as claimed) the body buzz and visuals just go apeshit and it gets completely unpredictable. During the (generally immensely rapid) onset of the peak usually one ends up with a bit of a "poisoned" feeling, both in the body and in the enivironment. The visual field tends to be dominated by gloomy and sometimes horrific imagery.

Whereas low doses tend to focus on the mind and medium doses tend to focus on aesthetics, strong doses generally just fuck everything up real nice. Tons of cross-chatter between the senses, and the rapid onset is very unsettling.

This type of dose tends to be magnified by about twenty when it's taken by accident or unexpectedly.

If SWIY is 100% sure it's LSD, it sounds like a typical high-dose acid burn that caught them by surprise.
