scary - muscle spasms (daily) and loud stomach noises (1-2 days a week at night)
SWIM doesn’t have medical insurance so SWIM can't go to do the doctors.. he doesn’t know what to do. Can anyone shed light on this problem? He has stopped the regime for 2 weeks but the side-effects of the random small muscle spasms (which happens every day) and stomach noises that he notices at night (1-2 out 7 nights a week) still persists.
Recently, SWIM experimented with Piracetam and Huperzine-A (he is 5"3 110lbs):
-wake up at 10am
-take a full teaspoon of piracetam on an empty stomach with orange juice sometimes with soda to mask the taste (never did an attack dose)
-take a hupe-a tablet of 200mcg
He did this for a total of 7 days on an empty stomach, usually eating 1 hour or two after.
There are two main side-effects that have made him very worried:
After 7 days of that regime, SWIM noticed 2 side-effects:
1) while laying in bed after the 7th day on my regime, he noticed his stomach would make louder than normal digestive or growling noises. he is a very light sleeper so for the first night it actually kept him up all night from 12PM-7AM. the noise was very continuous by erratic, starting up for 1-2 seconds then stopping for a few minutes and then starting up again 1-2 seconds. he was finally able to get to get some sleep by eating breakfast, and somehow the noises stopped.
Since that 7th day SWIM stopped the regime completely.2 weeks has passed now, and hisstomach at night still growls from time to time at night keeping him up (he’d say 1-2 out of 7 days he would notice it). Last night even though he had a dinner that made him full, and hadn't taken any piracetam or huper-a for 2 weeks, but his stomach made noises reminiscent of the ones he heard the week before and i dont know why.
2) the second side-effect is one that has been plaguing me EVERYDAY since he stopped the regime -- that is, random small muscle convulsions in random parts of his body at random times. that is throughout the day, in different parts of his body (sometimes small parts of his feet, isolated small parts of his biceps, tiny parts of his shoulders, small parts of his inner or outter thighs, and sometimes stomach), at unpredictable times a very small part of his body would just erradictly contract for 1-1.5 seconds. this would sometimes happen multiple times in an hour, but sometimes none in an hour.. but this has happen everyday since SWIM stopped taking pirace and hupe!
