Other - Question about drug busts

this may seem like a silly question, but swim wants an opinion. Imagine this: swim's dealer is driving to college to give swim a small amount of pot and swim's dealer is pulled over and searched. the pot is found. do you think the cops would let the dealer go if the dealer set up the buy and the cops came in an arrested swim? or do drug busts only really work in the opposite way?

Swim couldn't be sure, but swim feels that the police would be more concerned with the dealer then with who is buying the product, and if the police do in fact happen to be looking at a specific consumer it would only be to eventually track down the dealer. From what I understand the authorities are mostly concerned more with the suppliers then the consumers. So no, swim does not believe this would ever happen. But who knows?

Ever heard of reverse sting, like the cops take down a dope house, then set-up shop in the dope house to bust the buyers. Sounds like entrapment, and IMHO it is. Same thing on prostitution stings, they put cops on the street acting like hookers to bust the johns.

Nah, entrapment is where the cops get a person to do something the person would never do without the cops' actions. If someone shows up in a crack house on their own and the cops happen to be there it's not entrapment. Sneaky and fucked up for sure though.

Swim doesnt think swiy should be worried, Cops are more concerned with dealers not buyers.
