I get so sick of hearing that how bad methadone is. You know who has all the bad shit to say about methadone? The people that have never dealt with addiction and are talking out there ass because they think there all knowing.
They say that methadone is just an alternative to heroin. While anyone on MMT knows that to be far from the truth. It would have a devistating effect on people that are trying to do the right thing and get clean if methadone were made illegal. After 40 years of helping addicts succesfully get off heroin and other opiates it still faces scrutiny from the media and society in general.
In the video it says that methadone has become the leading cause of death due to drug overdoses in many states. BULLSHIT. Thats is complete and utter bullshit.
Im so sick of seeing shit like this. The portion of society that has never had to deal with addiction and knows absolutely nothing about methadone are the ones that are typically against it. People should at least educate themselves before making a decision about something.
But anyways check out this news clip claiming " Methadone- One pill can kill!"

And people dont seem to understand that the people that die from it usually the ones that are using other drugs on top of it and arent really worried about getting clean. They seem to tie ALL methadone users in together. Which is completely ignorant. Yes, there are people who just use the methadone to get high but the majority of us on mmt are trying to get sober, and its not fair t otie us in with people just looking to get high.
