Anyone get Gas while or after smoking tobacco??
I was really curious, i know it seems funny, but thats why I hate smoking tobacco, it always gives me gas ( with any type of tobacco cig.) !

Whats up with that? Is it normal??

Anyone else?

In simple terms, nicotine attaches to Nicotinic Achetylcholine receptors(nAChR) in the bowel which causes an increase in bowel activity and, thus, increased flatulence.

It's a normal reaction...more noticeable in some people than others.

Swim smokes a pack and a half a day. Nope, no gas. But if swim has a turd, during or after smoking a butt, swim feels it moving downward!!

Sorry but this is one of the wackiest side effects I've ever seen. Sure some of the halogenated psychedelics cause gastro issues, but I've never seen anything relating normal tobacco use to this. I'm sure some of the traditional practitioners of tobacco shamanism have had similar issues with enema use, but I can't find much in the way of discussion of side effects related to said techniques other then immediate lethality.

Throwaway: I think it's usually a bad choice to do ANYTHING besides going to the bathroom when ya got to go. Still I love the image of "Hmmm... I need to poo, maybe I'll have a smoke.... AARRGGHH MY PANTS!!!"

Just because the nicotine is inhaled does not mean it does not travel throughout your whole body. It just goes to the brain at a higher ratio.

swims regime in the morning is, wake, dress, make coffee( more likely accept coffee from wife ) take drink to the toilet and smoke a ciggy whilst moving the bowels. tmi i know lol. maybe with swim its an association thing, 1st fag = 1st dump of the day...

Swim loves taking huge dumps. When swim takes a small dump (also known as a cat poop) he gets fucking pissed off. In order to assure that his poop is huge, he often smokes a cig on the toilet. This increases the likelihood of a satisfactory bowel movement.
