True Hallucinations - What have you seen?
On the topic of having true hallucinations, as in seeing things that aren't there, not just distortions of real life, what has SWIY seen? For SWIM he often sees bugs, centipedes and flies crawling over his legs and arms. Once when he was stoned and tripping hard he was lying on the floor and saw huge centipedes, about a foot long, crawling along the floor and over his arms, like in that movie blueberry. This didn't bother SWIM at all, he actually enjoys watching these bugs crawl around. He has also seen a small camp fire outside but when he went for a closer look it dissapeared. What about SWIY?

Re: True Hallucinations - What have you seen?
Swim doesn't get many "true" hallucinations. Once he was tripping in a room with a fire and he threw some newspaper on it. The flames ate away at it and formed skull shapes which were incredibly pronounced and looked like real burning skulls. I had never seen anything like it: it was strange knowing it was just my mind.
Another time swim was tripping in a kitchen which had a light on at one end and a light off at the other. At the dark end, swim saw what looked like huge blood red vines spreading themselves all over the kitchen: if you've ever seen the film evolution where they throw a match in a petri dish and some giant alien plant explodes all over the room: thats what it looked like. It was semi-darkness, but when i turned the light on it disappeared. One final thing, which swim is not sure classifies as a "true" hallucination. When swim looks at things close to him, such as his clothes or the sofa he usually lies on, everything becomes textured as if he were looking through an electron microscope at a piece of metal. Something like this: http://www.buffalo.edu/news/hires/GarveyZnOPolymer.jpg - but with color. It isn't a distortion at all: when he sees things with this texture they no longer breathe or wobble around the place. Swim is hoping for some more crazy stuff on higher doses in the future. The dose he was on for those trips was 300-600 mics. Last edited by Joe-(5-HTP); 23-02-2009 at 12:50. |

Re: True Hallucinations - What have you seen?
Hi FrogEye. SWIM has had a couple of open-eye "true" hallucinations. Once he was having a trip and was lying in bed, and he looked at his curtains and saw a face on it...not one that consisted of flesh but that was the same colour as the curtains ..it was just kind of interwoven onto the curtains, it was weird.
Also (on the same trip) still lying on his bed, SWIM looked up at his halogen lights on his ceiling and one of the lights appeared to be a set of teeth ! So yeah I have had "true" hallucinations, they weren't scary...just interesting. However SWIM also wants to note that he has seen very vivid and real-like hallucinations closed-eye. He has seen tall skyscrapers on one trip with his eyes closed, but it was as though he was actually there ...because they looked so real. |
