Drug info - Glossy Weed - Coated/Scented?

Recently SWIM has seen a weird glossy coating on alot of weed round his way.. When you hold it up to the light and look carefully you can see some parts of the bud are kinda glossy, and reflect light. But not like crystals reflecting, it looks similiar to what it might look like if you brush PVA glue onto a bud and let it dry.. Like a shiny coating on some parts..
Every time ive seen this on weed, the weed has been sticky too!..

SWIM has seen this gloss on what was supposedly 'Cheese', it did smell like cheese and kinda look like it but it was harsh on the throat.. The second bud SWIMS seen it on WAS supposedly 'Mango', when it was in the ounce bag it smelt like mango, but when it was split into 8ths it smelt more like normal sticky home grown..
Another time SWIM has seen this was on what was supposedly 'Bubble Gum', it smelt like bubble gum but didnt really taste like it, and when it was left out to dry it lost all of its smell completley, SWIM picked up another oz of bubble gum which was the last bit and a bit drier, and it faintly smelt like bubble gum but had an unpleasant smell to it aswell, kinda like manoure!!

SWIM thinks all 3 of these different strains came from the same dealer, could the glossy coating be a scent to make the bud smell potent or to make it smell like different strains of bud (Mango, Bubble Gum)?

Also when you take a deep breathe of the bud, it kinda hits your throat like its more of a chemical smell than a natural one, feels like your breathing in aerosol or somthing!..

However the bud that it has been on has all been pretty decent bud, loads of orange hairs, nice and green etc!..

Anyone know what this gloss might be, or if it could be a scent or flavouring?
