Hi guys
On the 19th my kitty started a batch of red wine following these instructions (THE LINK TO WHICH SHE IS NOT ABLE TO POST

), but also making sure to gather advice from various other sources aswell. She did not have a proper airlock so following the guide's suggestion, she used a balloon poked with holes. However today she was beginning to think that she went a little pinhole-happy, making something like 15 little pricks into the balloons. Her reason for this is because for a few days of the fermenting, she is not going to be home to monitor the jugs and she was afraid of the balloons popping.
Well today Kitty noticed that the color of her fermenting wine was changing. The grape juice she began with was a very deep purple, almost indigo in color. When she checked this afternoon, it had become a slightly reddish hue. Now, she's no scientist but she did think this was a sign of too much oxygen getting into the jugs, and after some quick researching she learned just how easy it is to have your work turn to vinegar x__x So quickly, she prepared some new airlock balloons, this time poking only 4 little holes into them and replaced the old ones.
She began her wine on the 19th, so that means 2 days passed before she replaced the balloons. Did she salvage it in time? We assume that the finished product will have a lower alcohol content than it would have, but will Kitty's final result still be... mostly wine?
