Poppy Pod tea along with coffee
Swim roasts swim's own coffee when swim can afford to. While roasting some coffee swim thought of the possibility of adding some ground pods that are high in codiene to the coffee grounds after they cooled to at least 80 degrees C and allowing them to steep for at least two hours. One other method swim was thinking of was to steep the poppy pod grindings for a day or less and adding them to extremely strong coffee. Swim thought this may be better because poppy pods need a large volume of water to extract the codiene content while when coffee is allowed to steep for too long a period of time can become bitter depending on the nature of the beans used.
Swim thought of this combination because of swim's understanding that opium is a depressant and coffee is a stimulant and the two can complement each other by the stimulating effects of the coffee mitigating the depressant effects of the opium.
Have any swimmers intentionally experimented for the express purpose of achieving a balancing act of sorts in this way?
Swim knows there are other stimulants that can be used but would rather stick to natural botanical methods rather than refined or man-made substances.
Swim thinks of cola nut and possibly ephedra as possible substitutes for coffee although ephedra can be very dangerous.
Any thoughts?
