Health - Smoking Stunt Growth?

Swim has heard rumors that certain stimulants can impair physical growth over long term use. Primarily amphetamines, but considering nicotine is a stimulant I was curious if it could also have the same effect.


Swim has been smoking since he was 13 and wonders if he might have underdeveloped.

Swim had forgotten about this until she read swiys post.Then she remembered that when growing up she was told,"dont smoke it will stunt your growth".
Swims just asked mr swim if he got the same story,& yes,he did.
Though it couldn`t have made much of an impression on him as he started smoking at the ridiculously early age of nine!
Nevertheless,although starting rather younger than most,swim doesn`t think it could be said to have stunted his growth....not at 6 foot 2 inches!
