Does malnourishment bring on the crash?

I noticed that if I forcefeed myself while I'm crashing after about 15 mins my headache fades and I start feeling euphoric again. Same way hangover is mainly dehydration could the Ritalin crash be mainly caused by malnourishment?

Re: Does malnourishment bring on the crash?

Malnutrition can be a huge part of the crash. Stimulants like amphetamine and methylphenidate are known cause the body to release a lot of sugar into the blood due to an activation of the sympathetic nervous system. In more simple terms, they really take a lot of energy from you and the body needs to gain it back or else it will feel very bad. From swim's stimulant days, if he didn't eat anything the methylphenidate crash was pronounced but if he did he barely felt it.

In swims case getting some food into him made the difference between an incapacitating low with headaches, no energy but inability to sleep, and depression to a slight uncomfortable body feeliing but no mental downside effects

Swim noticed this too.. during a binge in Finland, Swim and Swim's girl were both crashing hard. Swim managed to force himself to eat some spaghetti, and coerce swim's girl into doing the same, after as little as ten minutes swius felt alot better and of course, continued partying =)

Re: Does malnourishment bring on the crash?

Insane. All this time it was just a matter of keeping swimself nourished. Swim hasn't slept since yesterday morning and usually swim would be feeling like complete shit, starting to hear voices and starting to become delusional in a real negative way but instead swim feels real clear minded, energetic and strangely enough more euphoric than usual. This goes to show how keeping the body nourished can make the difference between heaven and hell. Swims body kicks the shit out of him mentally and physically when he neglects it.

This is like a breakthrough for swim because he always felt like a pussy since some people claim to go 10+ days without sleep on meth but swim becomes a psychotic raving lunatic after 3 days. It wasn't the sleep dep that was driving swim mad it was the fact he didn't bother eating and drinking since he never felt hungry or thirsty. On meth binges swim would frequently decide to walk halfway across the city instead of taking the bus too so that probably dehydrated swim like mad.

Re: Does malnourishment bring on the crash?

Swim stayed up and did not eat for 4 days and did not have any sort of crash. Swim just slept a whole 18 hours and felt fine for his next binge. Only problem swim has found with his binges that he cannot strech his left arm out anymore due to it going completely numb as he does. Swim did eat 55 20mg focalin xrs and 10 10mg focalin regulars from friday to friday next week resting only from tuesday night to wednesday night. Then starting his next wednesday night to friday in the morning. Still no crash or feeling like shit when swim ran out ever. Just the occasional voices and hallucinations.
