is it possible for someone to spike you drink with LSD or something that has similar effects to it, because last nite i went out, and stupidly, let some guy id just met buy me a drink, i had the a great nite and the music seemed to sound a lot better than normal and the lights seemed to be a lot brighter and more luminous and i had the most out of this world dream when i got to sleep that nite. if i did get my drink spiked it wasnt nessarily a bad experience, im just wondering wot my drink could have been spiked with.

Its unlikely it would have been LSD, because you would have known! It of course may have been a very small amount, however unlikely that may be. Unfortunately you will probably never know if were were spiked or what with.

It absolutely could have been LSD. Even doses upwards of 120ug can produce only brightening of colors and the other effects you cited in a good number of subjects. For many, even that dose (considered a psychedelic dose) is a fairly mild experience compared to most expectations for the drug. Especially if it was their first encounter with the substance, as many people expect monsters and cartoons to appear or something.

Having said that, it could've also been any number of other drugs or just a placebo from being a little drunk (I assume the drink that was bought was some form of alcohol) and paranoid about a stranger buying you a drink. Nobody will be able to tell you anything beyond that, but yes, it could have most definitely been LSD and I don't know why anyone would think the contrary.

Had it been LSD I doubt you would have gotten any sleep that night let alone crazy dreams, but if your drink was spiked, why would the guy just want you to see bright colours?

It's possible but seems very very unlikely. LSD is quite a rare substance and I don't see why anyone (well, most sane people) would want to put it in a stranger's drink. It's a total waste and they do not gain any benefit from doing so. Maybe you were just in a good mood, that can affect things a lot

while LSD may be somewhat rare, some people that have it have a huge amount. or access to a huge amount. people do this, swim use to know a guy that would go to bars during the day and spike businessmens' drinks while they were on a break.

Yeah I suppose it can happen but I just fail to see why you would want to do this. Waste your own LSD while at the same time doing something that could be very frightening for an unsuspecting person or could make them lose their job.

Did swiy only have that one drink? If swiy only had that one drink then it could have possibly been a low dose, although in swim's experience situations like that are unlikely. If swiy had more to drink that night could it have been a psychological reaction to being drunk? Swim assume from what you wrote swiy has never had a Psychedelic experience before?

One of the universal immoral acts. Spiking someones drink or giving them a mind altering substance with out their knowledge is unethical. Imagine a world where everyone spiked drinks. It would not be rational. The consequences would be disastrous. Do not spike peoples drinks. It might be one of the few unforgivable acts in swims opinions. A long with rape and a couple of others.

On the topics of the op unfourtnatly their is no way we could tell what was in that drink(if anything). Swim recommendations is to call the drink spiker and ask. If it was recently; Swims recommendation if you can not call him is buy a drug test. The kind that looks for more than 5. You could rule out the standard drugs. For example this drug test, test for all these "Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Cannabis (THC), Methadone, Methamphetamines, Opiates, PCP and MDMA (Ecstasy), Oxycodone & Propoxyphene.".

kBy testing for all these you could narrow down all the basics. But this is assuming you are on a hard core mission to find out what it was.

From your description, SWIM says it sounds it sounds very unlikely, unless it was a very very low dose. There is nothing in your description that would indicate that what you were feeling was anything more than the effects of alcohol or a placebo effect. SWIM gets weird dreams when he has been drinking also, and sometimes when he is not drinking. Dreams are natural and typically are always weird. SWIM has tried LSD and it is a very profound and unmistakable experience. SWIM thinks you are just being paranoid. SWIM is aware that drink spiking is possible and does happen, but it would have to be a drug that would render you unconscious or nearly unconscious for it to be any use to a criminal. SWIM can't think of any reason why someone would spike your drink with something that was just going to make you feel good. SWIM thinks that despite the media hype drink spiking is still quite rare, so be aware of it but don't be paranoid. If you think that someone has spiked your drink then don't drink it. If you begin to feel unusual you should tell at least a couple of your friends who you know you can trust and if necessary seek medical advise.

Sounds like it could have been a low dose of Ketamine. Low doses of ket usually produce a slight enhancement of colours, very slightly enhanced sound with the possibility of strange dreams...although hey, don't we all get weird dreams from time to time naturally anyway?
As someone else said, it could have been what is called a "placebo effect" - if indeed you was worried about your drink being spiked and maybe for whatever reason you did think you had been spiked, then because you convinced yourself that you had been spiked or suspected you could have been spiked, then your mind created effects out of paranoia and fear.
But anyway it certainly was not LSD, unless of course as already mentioned, it was an extremely loooooooooooooooooow dose.

I'd like to re-iterate that in the realm of effects it could have most definitely been a low dose of LSD. Those are indeed the effects of a low dose of acid. Probably the average dose found in most street droppers. The other factors (motive, accessibility, etc.) would be very questionable. But SWIM has seen it done in situations like that by people who are just fucking crazy. People who have a lot of it at their disposal tend to lean toward that kind of stuff--the merry pranksters for christ's sake. It is a terrible thing to do to someone, though.

It is possible that you may have accidently picked up some LSD. You can absorb it through your skin. SWIM's friend once started tripping just because she was holding a piece of paper with LSD on it. I'm not sure of the likelihood of this actually happening, but it is possible.

Yes it could have been LSD. There is some logic behind this, the guy might have just wanted swiy to have a good time with him, and what better drug to use than a low dose of lsd I suppose its better than spiking you with rohypnol and raping you (sorry for being so blunt )
