Effects - Xanax/ Alprazolam at a concert?

SWIM previously hated Xanax (rectreationally at least) until he tried it with weed yesterday - 1 mg plus a small bowl or some high-end sativa. It gave him a nice mellow buzz and made him a bit more talkative than usual. Tommorrow he will be trading a friend some of his prescribed Ambien (Zolpidem) for some 2mg bars and is going to a metal show later that evening. What SWIM is wondering is would smoking a few bowls of weed and popping a bar make the show more fun, or would he just be out of it and not remember much of what happened?

Also, should tolerance be taken into consideration? Should he maybe take 2.5 mg do get the desired effects one would usually get from 2 mg, or does tolerance not build that fast? Thanks.
